CoblePhoto of the Day While generally common along forest edges throughout the lower Susquehanna valley from mid-autumn through mid-spring, we seldom see White-throated Sparrows in the urban oasis that is the susquehannawildlife.net headquarters garden. Our greatest hope for spotting one comes during the peak times of seasonal migration. Alas, gloomy weather grounded this handsome northbound chap for the past several days and at last gave us a chance to repeatedly hear his cheery “old sam peabody-peabody-peabody” song.
